Clean Up Clapham Competition Winners
5th June 2026

We invited local primary school pupils to design a poster reminding everyone to:
Pick up litter, bag and bin dog poo, cut down plastic and recycle more.
Their brilliant posters encourage all of us to keep Clapham clean, green, and safe for people and wildlife. There are 8 Winners and 3 runners-up from three schools: Macaulay School, Bonneville School and Eaton House. We held a prize-giving event at the Clapham Common Bandstand on Wed the 3rd of June, – each winner received 4 cinema tickets kindly donated by Clapham Picture House, and the runner’s up each received the book, “Nature’s Heroes” donated by The Clapham Society.

The posters will now be displayed in local shops, cafes and restaurants. Take a look, share a photo, and help spread the word. A set of the winning designs have also been turned into a pack of postcards which can be purchased from The Clapham Society or from one of the schools for £5. If that inspires you to do more, then please join the next organised litter pick on Clapham Common on Saturday the 4th of July. Just turn up to the bandstand at 11am.
