Lambeth Heritage Festival 2025

Organised by Lambeth Archives and the Lambeth Local History Forum, this year’s festival brings together a wonderful and rich variety of over 75 events and activities with one shared aim: to celebrate the diverse histories and heritages of our borough.

Starting with the Lambeth Local History Fair at Clapham Library on Saturday 6th September, the festival covers so many different historical and geographical perspectives. Later in the month there are talks about Brixton pubs, the artists of Vauxhall and Kennington, the building of Lambeth’s four “Waterloo” churches and a history of Lambeth Town Hall. There are online workshops on family history. There are opportunities to explore the hidden corners of our extraordinary borough with a fantastic range of guided walks and tours offered by local societies and by the Lambeth Tour Guides’ Association.
