Remembering the Chartist rally on Kennington Common
A walk telling the story of the great Chartist rally of 10 April 1848: that at the time caused such concern that the Royal family were moved to Osbourne House on the Isle of Wight, for their safety, and the Duke of Wellington stationed troops across London to quell any unrest.
