A 90 minute guided tour dedicated to the Windrush Pioneers who arrived at Tilbury on 22 June 1948, 75 years ago, to help rebuild Britain after the 2nd World War. Many who were housed in the deep underground shelter at Clapham South, came to the Labour Exchange in Coldharbour Lane; many settled in Brixton.
From Windrush Square, we will walk in their footsteps to Coldharbour Lane and Somerleyton Road.
