A Meeting to Discuss Fairtrade at Omnibus
This topical and controversial issue will be explored to mark FairTrade Fortnight 2015.
Nicolas Mounard is Managing Director of the pioneering ethical trading organisation Twin and its business arm, Twin Trading. He will critically assess what fairtrade is and how it works and examine if buying fairtrade products such as tea, coffee and chocolate really does support economic transformation in rural and agricultural communities across developing countries.
Women farmers disproportionately represent the majority of farmers across the globe. Nicholas will discuss what impact fairtrade has on women farmers.
