A Weekend of Energetic and Diverse Music

Bandstand Two Brass Bands 2021

Go to the Bandstand on Clapham Common for upbeat rythms and lots of energy from these two bands. The bands will be playing in the afternoons.

Weekend Programme

Saturday 31 July – Los Domingos – 2pm-4pm
Sunday 1 August – The Crooks Saxes – 2pm-4pm

If you haven’t heard their music before get ready to tap your feet and enjoy a variety of rythms this weekend.

Los Domingos are a London band playing Afro Cuban salsa, mambo and cha-cha-cha classics. Enjoy the rich, vibrant textures of the rhythms, harmonies and melodies of their music.

The Crooks Saxes are also a London based band. They are a saxophone quartet playing a mix of contemporary jazz, classical & pop arrangements.

The concerts are free to all, organised by Clapham Common Management Advisory Committee (CCMAC), supported and funded by a grant from Lambeth Council with Technical support supplied by Clapham’s Omnibus Theatre.

All concerts start at 2pm and end at 4pm.

CCMAC wants everyone to feel safe while performing and watching the bands, choirs and orchestras. The Bandstand is in an open and well-ventilated outside space. All acts who are singing have to take a COVID-19 test before performing.

CCMAC will also lay out deckchairs spaciously around the Bandstand. They also ask that anybody who has COVID-19 or its symptoms remains at home. Be safe, be sensible.
