Guided Walks Programme For The Year

Our guided walks have now ceased over the winter and will resume in April 2026, but for those who like to venture out on historical walks all year long, our self-guided walks leaflets are useful during the winter.

Walks in Clapham usually last between 60 and 90 minutes. All walks must be booked in advance to restrict numbers for comfort. If you have any questions about a walk, please contact the leader at the email address shown on the walk details.

We also organise other events and meetings throughout the year.

The programme for the year is shown on the Events page.

Lambeth Local History Walks 2025 – 2026

This year’s Lambeth Local History Forum leaflet, detailing guided and self guided local history walks, regular walks, and guided tours for the year 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, is available now, free, from  Lambeth and Wandsworth Libraries, Omnibus Theatre, as well as at many other South London venues and through Forum members.

Across our South London streets, developments, parks, and gardens, a fascinating amount of history is waiting to be discovered. More than 90 walks are listed in this year’s programme, which continues through the year and into 2026. Several of the walks are arranged by The Clapham Society Local History Group, and walks are local to Clapham, Brixton, West Norwood Cemetery, Herne Hill, Kennington, Streatham, Vauxhall and all Lambeth.

These walks and tours, organised by members and associates of the Lambeth Local History Forum, are very popular and most have a limit on numbers, so early booking is highly advised.

Unless otherwise indicated, walks usually last 1½ – 2 hours.
Most LLHF walks are free of charge, but donations are welcomed by the forum.

Cover image credits are printed on the leaflet.

There are currently no guided walks scheduled. Click here to download our Self-Guided Walk guides.
